SUMMARY:Advanced OB Ultrasound
DESCRIPTION:Register early and save! Please register early and reserve
your place by providing payment to avoid an additional $25 fee requir
ed for registrations given within two (2) weeks of the course.\nThe AI
UM recommends that the cardiac outflow tracts be included on all 18-20
week anatomy scans. Fetal cardiac imaging can be the most challenging
part of an OB anatomy scan. This one day course will increase your co
nfidence level and scanning skills in obtaining the intricate detailed
views of the fetal heart. The course begins with a short lecture revi
ewing fetal cardiac anatomy.\nParticipants will then be able to furthe
r their knowledge through live scanning with variety of models supervi
sed by a faculty member. The hands on scan lab allows participants to
practice obtaining the outflow tracts, 3 vessel tracheal view, aortic
arch, ductus and more. This will improve your ability to recognize bot
h normal and abnormal cardiac anatomy.\nScan with the experts\nSometim
es it takes an additional day or two of scanning to generate confidenc
e in your new skill set.  If you would like to add a day or two, all
our ultrasound skills courses can be scheduled with additional scan da
ys in our state of the art interactive scan lab.  Give us a call and
discuss your needs with our faculty so we can help you achieve your go
als.\nObjectives\n\nAt the completion of this course, the learner will
be able to:\nUtilize instrumentation principles to optimize ultrasoun
d system to obtain diagnostic cardiac views\nRecognize normal and abno
rmal anatomy while performing a fetal cardiac survey of the OB patient
.\nPerform a satisfactory fetal cardiac exam\nRecognize the importance
of Doppler in cardiac evaluation\n\nCourse Topics\n\nInstrumentation
and Orientation\nNormal Cardiac Anatomy Review\nRequired Diagnostic Ca
rdiac Views\nSecond and Third Trimester Scan Protocols\nCardiac Anomal
ies\nUtilize color Doppler to aid in diagnosis of cardiac anomalies\n\
nTarget Audience\nPhysicians and sonographers who want to improve thei
r skills and knowledge in the field of fetal cardiac imaging. Previous
OB ultrasound experience is recommended.\nCME Credit\n\n“The Advanc
ed Health Education Center is accredited by the Accreditation Council
for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical educati
