 s.php\n\nMEETING DESCRIPTION:\nRadiation therapy has become progressiv
 ely more complex as our ability to accurately define treatment volumes
  has improved, calculation techniques for treatment planning in three 
 dimensions has improved and treatment delivery capabilities have becom
 e more sophisticated. Intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) and
  image guided radiation therapy (IGRT) combine all these improvements 
 to allow higher treatment doses to more irregular tumor volumes with t
 he promise to improve patient outcomes.\nThis course will address the 
 implementation of these technologies to the treatment of multiple dise
 ase sites. Emphasis will be placed on the clinical and technical dosim
 etry issues for a successful IMRT program. Related technologies, such 
 as TomoTherapy and CyberKnife, will be covered in brief to update the 
 attendee on these tools. The attendee is expected to know the basics o
 f 3D conformal planning and plan evaluation as taught in the MTMI.\n\n
 This course provides 24 continuing medical education credits for Certi
 fied Medical Dosimetrists recognized by the MDCB and 24 hours of Categ
 ory A credits for Radiologic Technologists recognized by the ARRT. A c
 ertificate of attendance will be provided for each individual upon com
 pletion of the course. All attendees must attend the entire course to
