 s designed to optimize clinical practice skills by providing intense t
 raining in interpreting pediatric cardiac MR examinations under the su
 pervision of expert faculty. Participants use workstations with the sa
 me vendor software as in their own practice and have access to over 10
 0 congenital and pediatric cardiovascular MR cases. Pre- and post-oper
 ative cases will be available for review. Post-processing techniques w
 ill be emphasized. The course also covers technical considerations for
  obtainging optimal examination for interpretation.\n\nProgram Objecti
 ves:\nImprove understanding of:\n1. Normal cardiovascular anatomy and 
 normal anatomic variants.\n2. The spectrum of pediatric congenital and
  acquired cardiovascular disease, and\nnatural history of the most com
 mon conditions.\n3. The therapeutic options and operative techniques i
 n each condition, as well as\nthe complications that can arise followi
 ng treatment.\n4. Imaging manifestations of pediatric cardiovascular d
 isease, and the complementary role of MRI to echocardiography, CT and 
 cardiac catheterization in therapeutic decision-making in the pre-oper
 ative and post-operative period.\n5. The technical basis of pediatric 
 cardiovascular MRI, including hardware requirements, sequence selectio
 n and optimization, and technical limitations.\n6. Post-processing tec
 hniques for functional, flow and angiographic evaluation.\n7. Provide 
 a forum for sharing knowledge of ongoing technical and clinical develo
 pments in the field of MRI of congenital and pediatric cardiovascular
