 as become the standard-of-care imaging modality in cancer management a
 nd has garnered an evolving role in diagnosing neurodegenerative and c
 ardiovascular diseases. This 150-case, three-day preceptorship is desi
 gned to provide practicing radiologists and nuclear medicine physician
 s with an intensive, hands-on experience in reading PET/CT.\n\nAttende
 es will interpret more than 150 PET/CT scans in a front-line fashion c
 overing all clinical applications, including those in oncology, neurol
 ogy, and cardiology. Each multiple-scan interpretation session conclud
 es with a detailed review of the key findings. This session also provi
 des learners with a higher level of expertise and confidence in interp
 reting PET/CT.\n\nIf you have already completed some formal course wor
 k on PET and/or PET/CT but only have limited experience reading scans

 s will be able to:\n\n1. Understand the clinical applications of PET/C
 T\n\n2. Describe the basic principles of acquiring and interpreting PE
 T/CT\n\n3. Recognize normal variants, incidental findings, and pitfall
 s on PET/CT\n\n4. Use PET/CT for monitoring therapy and for radiation 
 therapy planning\n\nAttendees who interpret a minimum of 150 PET/CT sc
 ans will be awarded a Certificate of Proficiency stating they meet the
  case requirement as specified in the ACR Practice Guideline for the p
 erformance of positron emission tomography (PET) and computed tomograp
