 nThis five-day program is directed toward general abdominal procedures
  including the superficial organs. An integrated approach of lecture, 
 demonstrations, hands-on scanning experience with models, and correlat
 ion of ultrasound appearance of normal versus abnormal tissues is used
 . The basics of instrumentation and the physics of ultrasound, relatin
 g to maximizing the image are reinforced in the laboratory. The class 
 is from 8 AM to 5 PM with a lunch hour. A variety of ultrasound equipm
 ent is available in the scan lab. A complete two-week program can be a
 ccomplished with this course followed by the five day OB/GYN Ultrasoun
