 sound (5 Days)\nThis five-day program is directed toward general abdom
 inal procedures including the superficial organs. An integrated approa
 ch of lecture, demonstrations, hands-on scanning experience with model
 s, and correlation of ultrasound appearance of normal versus abnormal 
 tissues is used. The basics of instrumentation and the physics of ultr
 asound, relating to maximizing the image are reinforced in the laborat
 ory. The class is from 8 AM to 5 PM with a lunch hour. A variety of ul
 trasound equipment is available in the scan lab. A complete two-week p
 rogram can be accomplished with this course followed by the five day O
