SUMMARY:Abdominal Ultrasound (4 Day)
DESCRIPTION:he focus of this four day course is to provide participant
s with the confidence necessary to complete an abdominal ultrasound ba
sed on AIUM protocols. The course covers the basic protocols involved
in an examination and general use of the ultrasound system. Normal ana
tomy of the liver, gall bladder, kidneys, spleen, abdominal vessels, a
nd pancreas will be discussed. Also included are soft tissue applicati
ons and abdominal doppler.\nThe first three days the participants will
gain experience through lecture and faculty supervised hands on scann
ing. This format allows each participant ample opportunity to gain the
knowledge and confidence needed to independently perform a basic abdo
minal ultrasound. The final day of this course will be spent entirely
in the scanning lab. We will simulate a clinical lab setting with live
models allowing participants to perfect their protocols.\nA complete
two-week program can be accomplished with this course followed by the
five day OB/GYN Ultrasound course.\nScan with the experts:\nSometimes
it takes an additional day or two of scanning to generate confidence i
n your new skill set. If you would like to add a day or two, all our u
ltrasound skills courses can be scheduled with additional scan days in
our state of the art interactive scan lab. Give us a call and discuss
your needs with our faculty so we can help you achieve your goals.\nO
