  tools available to the physician to aid in the diagnosis of their pat
 ients. Vascular ultrasound has progressed over the years to become muc
 h more than a screening tool. Accurate diagnostic testing of the vascu
 lar system requires a comprehensive understanding of anatomy and hemod
 ynamics as well as the various pathological conditions that can presen
 t. Multiple variables such as cardiac output, abnormal liver enzymes, 
 cirrhosis, metastatic and renal disease can all have an impact on the 
 vascular system. This one-day seminar provides an overview of abdomina
 l vasculature and hemodynamics, and diagnostic criteria suitable for a
 nyone from an experienced sonographer to the beginner. Our scan lab an
