SUMMARY:7th Annual: Simplified Approach to Head and Neck Radiology: Wh
 at You Need to Know
DESCRIPTION:7th Annual: Simplified Approach to Head and Neck Radiology
 : What You Need to Know\n\nMarch 19, 2011\nDearborn Inn\nDearborn, MI\
 n7.0 AMA PRA Category 1 credits™\n\nProgram Objectives:\nThe purpose
of this CME program is to provide information on the basics of head a
nd neck radiology. The curriculum will be some of the most challenging
topics in head and neck radiology which include the Larynx; Oral Cavi
ty & Oropharynx; Temporal Bone; Spaces of the Head & Neck and Sinuses.
Each topic will consist of lectures that will cover imaging technique
, normal anatomy, and common pathology with an emphasis on how the ima
ging findings directly affect patient management and treatment. Both a
dult and pediatric pathology will be covered. One of the unique aspect
s that will separate this program from others will be an emphasis on a
udience interaction and participation as opposed to structured lecture
s presented at most CME courses. It is our goal that at the end of the
day, participants will say the course was “too basic.” If so, the
n you will have unwittingly learned and understood a tremendous amount
of head & neck radiology!\n\nThis year, we will be offering 2 SAMs cr
edit, pending final approval by the American Board of Radiology (ABR).
Since the ABR recommends averaging 2 SAMs per year Maintenance of Cer
tification (MOC), the attendee will be able to meet their yearly recom
mended MOC requirement by attending this course.\n\nTarget Audience:\n
\n• Radiology residents at all levels of training, but especially 4t
h year residents preparing for oral boards.\n• Neuroradiology fellow
s preparing for the CAQ examination.\n• Community radiologists who w
ish to gain a better understanding of head & neck radiology.\n• Neur
oradiologists with a desire to obtain further understanding on how ima
ging findings directly impact patient care and who wish to review for
the CAQ or MOC examination.\n• Radiology CT & MR technologists inter
ested in a review of optimizing imaging techniques for head & neck.\n
ENT physicians, ENT residents and other physicians who participate
in the care of patients with head and neck disorders that would like a
concise, one-day refresher course on head & neck imaging.\n\nTopics:\
nMarch 19, 2011\n\n• Spaces of the Head and Neck\n• Larynx: Techni
ques, Normal Anatomy and Common Pathology\n• Sinus: Infections and N

e ABR Maintenance of Certification.\n\nAccreditation:\n\nThe Universit
