 recent years computers have infiltrated the way radiology images\nare 
 acquired, processed, displayed\nand stored. CR and DR systems are rapi
 dly replacing conventional film-based radiography systems and technolo
 gists need to fully understand the way these systems operate. Issues s
 uch “dose-creep”, multiple-fields exposure, grid utilization and a
 rtifact remediation need to be understood. The most common issues face
 d by the technologist in his/her daily interaction with digital radiog
 raphy systems will be addressed. Errors and systems malfunctions and t
 heir impact on image quality or patient safety will be explained. This
  course will provide technologists with the image analysis tools they 
 will need to make a correct assessment of digital images and how to be
 st optimize their quality while keeping patient dose low. The course w
 ill also review Quality Assurance procedures for CR and DR systems.\n\
 nThis course provides 21 Hours Category A continuing education credit 
 for radiologic technologists. A certificate of attendance will be prov
 ided for each individual upon completion of the course. All attendees 
 must attend the entire course to receive full credit. Credit is awarde
 d for radiologic technologists as ARRT Category A Credit approved by t
 he ASRT, and credit from various licensure states.\n\nINSTRUCTORS:\nBu
