 rs computers have infiltrated the way radiology images\nare acquired, 
 processed, displayed\nand stored. CR and DR systems are rapidly replac
 ing conventional film-based radiography systems and technologists need
  to fully understand the way these systems operate. Issues such “dos
 e-creep”, multiple-fields exposure, grid utilization and artifact re
 mediation need to be understood. The most common issues faced by the t
 echnologist in his/her daily interaction with digital radiography syst
 ems will be addressed. Errors and systems malfunctions and their impac
 t on image quality or patient safety will be explained. This course wi
 ll provide technologists with the image analysis tools they will need 
 to make a correct assessment of digital images and how to best optimiz
 e their quality while keeping patient dose low. The course will also r
 eview Quality Assurance procedures for CR and DR systems.\n\nThis cour
 se provides 21 Hours Category A continuing education credit for radiol
 ogic technologists. A certificate of attendance will be provided for e
 ach individual upon completion of the course. All attendees must atten
 d the entire course to receive full credit. Credit is awarded for radi
 ologic technologists as ARRT Category A Credit approved by the ASRT, a
