 w of the role of bone densitometry in the diagnosis and treatment of o
 steoporosis. The course will cover the technology, clinical applicatio
 ns, interpretation of results, clinical procedures, handling of proble
 m cases, safety, quality assurance and the establishment and operation
  of a bone densitometry service. A hands-on workshop demonstration of 
 clinical bone densitometry units is included in the curriculum.\nThis 
 course is appropriate for anyone wanting to learn about bone densitome
 try including technologists, physicians, managers and allied health pe
 rsonnel. It would also be useful for individuals from companies offeri
 ng products related to bone densitometry. The course will be useful to
  those setting-up, managing or operating a bone densitometry service a
 s well as those preparing to take a certification exam, such as offere
 d by the ISCD or ARRT.\n\nThis course provides 20 hours of category A 
 continuing education credit for the radiologic technologists recognize
 d by the ARRT and various licensure states. A certificate of attendanc
 e will be provided for each individual upon completion of this course.
