 comprehensive review of the role of bone densitometry in the diagnosis
  and treatment of osteoporosis. The course will cover the technology, 
 clinical applications, interpretation of results, clinical procedures,
  handling of problem cases, safety, quality assurance and the establis
 hment and operation of a bone densitometry service. A hands-on worksho
 p demonstration of clinical bone densitometry units is included in the
  curriculum.\nThis course is appropriate for anyone wanting to learn a
 bout bone densitometry including technologists, physicians, managers a
 nd allied health personnel. It would also be useful for individuals fr
 om companies offering products related to bone densitometry. The cours
 e will be useful to those setting-up, managing or operating a bone den
 sitometry service as well as those preparing to take a certification e
 xam, such as offered by the ISCD or ARRT.\n\nCourse Objectives\nAt the

 urs of category A continuing education credit for the radiologic techn
