ve Brain and Spine Imaging Conference
DESCRIPTION:Department of Radiology\n2011 2nd Intensive Interactive Br
 ain and Spine Imaging Conference\n\nMarch 28 - April 1, 2011\n\nCourse
  Directors:\nKaren L Salzman\nLubdha M Shah\nRichard H Wiggins, III\n\

ward\n\nCourse Objectives:\nAt the conclusion of the conference, the p
articipant will be able to:\n• Understand relevant brain and spine a
natomy issues.\n• Provide information on current imaging techniques
and choosing the most appropriate studies for imaging the brain and sp
ine.\n• Discuss differential diagnoses of the brain and spine based
on imaging characteristics of pathology.\n\nRegistration and hotel inf
ormation will be here soon\n\nThis comprehensive course in brain and s
pine imaging is intended to give radiologists an in depth exposure to
brain and spine anatomy, diagnoses, and important differential diagnos
es.\n\nThe course is divided into a mix of didactic lectures on brain
and spine imaging issues, protocols, and diseases, with special sessio
ns on vital differential diagnoses. This will be reinforced with numer
ous interactive case reviews covering unknown brain and spine cases co
rrelating with the didactic sessions. This time is designed to present
the participant with hundreds of individual case examples of brain an
d spine lesions. Case presentations will be within a format with each
individual case initially viewed as an unknown, maximizing the faculty
-participant dynamic.\n\nThis course is specifically designed for brai
n and spine clinicians and general radiologists, as well as neuroradio
logists, and specialized brain and spine neuroradiologists in both aca
demic and non-academic environments.\n\nThis unique, intensive week lo
ng course allows an unprecedented experience for registrants to person
ally discuss individual cases with the authors of best selling and unm
atched textbooks on brain and spine imaging. Participants will also ha
ve the opportunity to bring their own unknown cases for discussion wit
h these brain and spine imaging experts.\n\nOur goal with this confere
nce, as with all the University of Utah Neuroradiology conferences, is
to give the participants a wealth of practical knowledge that can be
used immediately in their practice through the presentation and discus
sion of an exhaustive array of pathologies with a plethora of cases.\n
\nAccreditation:\n\nThe University of Utah Continuing Medical Educatio
n is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Ed
ucation to provide continuing medical education for physicians.\n\nDes
ignation:\n\nThe University of Utah Continuing Medical Education desig
nates this educational activity for a maximum of 36 category 1 credits
toward the AMA Physician's Recognition Award. Each physician should c
laim only those credits that he/she actually spent in the educational
activity.\n\nADA:\n\nThe University of Utah complies with the American
s with Disabilities Act by providing qualified individuals with disabi
lities access to University programs, services and activities. A reque
st for accommodation can be made by calling (801) 587-2980. Reasonable
