 egelman (from the University of Pennsylvania Med Centre) and Dr. D. Da
 vid Dershaw (Sloan Kettering Cancer Ctr, NYC) will be our two guest fa
 culty.\n\nThis 4 half-day course will serve as a review of relevant ra
 diology topics with a particular focus on oncology and areas where rad
 iology is making a difference: screening, detection, staging, problem-
 solving and followup. The course has been designed to provide an updat
 e on current practice in the fields of chest, breast, thyroid, abdomen
  and pelvis imaging.\n\nCourse Director(s)\n\nDrs. Cynthia Walsh and G

 , residents/fellows & techs.\n\nObjectives\n\nUpon completion of this 
 course, participants should be able to:\n1. Apply principles of eviden
 ce-based radiology to their everyday practice\n2. Determine which spec
 ific MRI techniques are advantageous in oncologic imaging\n3. Assess t
 he benefits of using various imaging modalities in the evaluation of h
 epatic, renal and gynecologic malignancies\n4. Evaluate essential imag
 ing findings which alter clinical management in colorectal cancer\n5. 
 Improve patient management through enhanced knowledge of current breas
 t imaging options such as MRI and screening of the high-risk patient\n
 6. Outline current concepts of lung cancer staging, pleural malignanci
 es and evaluation of the solitary pulmonary nodule\n7. Understand wher
 e radiologists can impact clinical management of lymphoma\n8. Develop 
 an approach in distinguishing benign from malignant fractures\n\nParti
