University of Utah Neuroradiology 1st Intensive Interactive Brain and
 Spine Imaging Conference\n\nMarch 30 - April 3, 2009\n\nThis comprehen
sive course in brain and spine imaging is intended to give radiologist
s an in depth exposure to brain and spine anatomy, diagnoses, and impo
rtant differential diagnoses.\n\nThe course is divided into a mix of d
idactic lectures on brain and spine imaging issues, protocols, and dis
eases, with special sessions on vital differential diagnoses. This wil
l be reinforced with numerous interactive case reviews covering unknow
n brain and spine cases correlating with the didactic sessions. This t
ime is designed to present the participant with hundreds of individual
case examples of brain and spine lesions. Case presentations will be
within a format with each individual case initially viewed as an unkno
wn, maximizing the faculty-participant dynamic.\n\nThis course is spec
ifically designed for brain and spine clinicians and general radiologi
sts, as well as neuroradiologists, and specialized brain and spine neu
roradiologists in both academic and non-academic environments.\n\nThis
unique, intensive week long course allows an unprecedented experience
for registrants to personally discuss individual cases with the autho
rs of best selling and unmatched textbooks on brain and spine imaging.
Participants will also have the opportunity to bring their own unknow
n cases for discussion with these brain and spine imaging experts.\n\n
Our goal with this conference, as with all the University of Utah Neur
oradiology conferences, is to give the participants a wealth of practi
cal knowledge that can be used immediately in their practice through t
he presentation and discussion of an exhaustive array of pathologies w
ith a plethora of cases.\n\nCourse Objectives:\n\nAt the conclusion of
the conference, the participant will be able to:\n• Understand rele
vant brain and spine anatomy issues.\n• Provide information on curre
nt imaging techniques and choosing the most appropriate studies for im
aging the brain and spine.\n• Discuss differential diagnoses of the
brain and spine based on imaging characteristics.\n\nAccreditation:\n\
nThe University of Utah Continuing Medical Education is accredited by
the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide
continuing medical education for physicians.\n\nDesignation:\n\nThe Un
iversity of Utah Continuing Medical Education designates this educatio
nal activity for a maximum of 36 category 1 credits toward the AMA Phy
sician’s Recognition Award. Each physician should claim only those c
redits that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.\n\nMore
information about the course can be found at:\n\nhttp://medicine.utah
