 ymposium is structured as a practical, clinically oriented review of u
 ltrasound. A mix of ob-gyn, body, musculoskeletal, pediatric and vascu
 lar lectures are included so registrants can expand their clinical pra
 ctices. Tips, protocols, and pitfalls provide balance to the program. 
 Faculty have been selected for their teaching ability, as well as for 
 their expertise.\n\nTARGET AUDIENCE\n\nThis course should benefit thos
 e who order, perform, and interpret clinical ultrasound studies. It sh
 ould be particularly valuable for diagnostic imaging physicians, ob-gy
 n physicians, vascular surgeons, and referring physicians who utilize 
 ultrasound to evaluate the clinical status of their patients. The symp
 osium should also be valuable for sonographers who perform these proce
 dures.\n\nEDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES\n\nAttendees should, at the completio
 n of this course, be able to:\n\nAssess new developments in evaluating
  obstetrical and gynecological patients\nUtilize ultrasound to assess 
 patients with a variety of abdominal and pelvic disorders\nEvaluate pa
 tients for thyroid and parathyroid disease using ultrasound imaging te
 chniques\nExpand their clinical protocols for evaluating the vascular 
 system\nDiscuss the use of ultrasound in evaluation of the kidneys and
  urinary tract\nIncorporate state of the art imaging techniques for ev
 aluation of breast cancer into clinical practice\nDiscuss the clinical
  application of ultrasound imaging to evaluate the musculoskeletal sys
 tem\nNo special educational preparation is required for this CME activ
