 ography continues to be the most effective line of defense against bre
 ast cancer. Survival from this terrible disease is significantly enhan
 ced by the early detection and treatment of malignant breast lesions. 
 The Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) was enacted to insure hig
 h quality mammography by all facilities offering this service. Medical
  physicists play an important role in assisting facilities to comply w
 ith these regulations. This seminar will help medical physicists and o
 thers keep up to date on the technological advances and state-of-the-a
 rt practices in this important field. This years program will include 
 seven hours on digital mammography to prepare individuals to assist wi
 th proper implementation of this technology as well as count toward th
 e continuing education requirement for this modality. Three hours on s
 tereotactic breast biopsy are also included.\n\nThis activity is desig
 ned to provide continuing education for the practicing clinical medica
 l physicist.\n\nThis seminar series has been approved by CAMPEP for up
  to 15 hours of Medical Physics Continuing Education Credit (MPCEC) fo
 r qualified medical physicists.\n\nThis activity is designed to provid
 e 15 hours of continuing education in mammography. The seminar series 
 has been approved by CAMPEP for up to 15 hours of Medical Physics Cont
 inuing Education Credit (MPCEC) for qualified medical physicists. This
  program includes 6.75 hours training on the surveying of digital mamm
 ography units, 5.75 hours on the surveying of film/screen systems and 
 3 hours on surveying stereotactic breast biopsy units.\n\nINSTRUCTORS:
