 DESCRIPTION:\nThe WFUMB is a Federation of Affiliated Organisations co
 nsisting of Regional Federations that cover National Societies of Ultr
 asound in Europe, in Asia, in North America, in Latin America, in Aust
 ralasia, and in Mediterranean Africa.\n\nThe objectives of the WFUMB a
 re to encourage research; to promote international cooperation and to 
 disseminate scientific information in the field of ultrasound in medic
 ine.\n\nSome of the exciting program topics will include: advanced ima
 ging technology, quality assurance in radiology, medico-legal issues, 
 3D and 4D ultrasound, echocardiography, ultrasound contrast imaging, a
 dvances in therapeutic applications, hands-on workshops and live-demon
 stration sessions, pediatric cardiology, veterinary medicine, obstetri
 cs and gynecology, musculoskeletal and emergency medicine.\n\nDelegate
 s will have the opportunity to meet with exhibitors who will be displa
 ying their new, innovative and technical diagnostic and therapeutic eq
 uipment, supplies, and services.\n\nSatellite meetings will be held in
  conjunction with the 12th Congress along with a program specifically 
 for the World Federation of Sonographers.\n\nA significant social prog
 ram will be included with the Congress to ensure ample networking with
